Ruth Needleman

Ruth Needleman is an NCC Associate Director and the Wilderness Trip Program Director for Lincoln and Whippoorwill. During the offseason, as Staffing Coordinator, she is responsible for recruiting and hiring summer staff for NCC. She was a camper for six years and has spent more than 20 summers working at both camps in various roles including cabin counselor, section head, trip leader and 14 years as the Lincoln Program Director. Both of her children were campers and staff members. Ruth is the chair of the North Country Camps Foundation Alumni Committee and has served on the Gucker Campership Fund Board of Directors for over 30 years, many of those years as the Assistant Treasurer. She is a New York State Licensed Guide and an avid hiker who recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2023, and has completed three rounds of the Adirondack 46.
