Mim Millar
Health Director
Mim joined the NCC health staff in 2023. According to Mim, “I was immediately struck by how many components of my life came together to make me feel like this was the best job ever!” Mim attended 4-H camp as a child, describing that time as the “best two weeks of her year.” She later held a variety of positions at various camps including running the waterfront at a camp which served children with intellectual disabilities. She attended nursing school and then worked in an ER, a post- anesthesia recovery room, at Student Health Services for a SUNY school, at same-day surgery centers and then, for the last 20 years, in infection prevention. In 2010, Mim returned to volunteering as an EMT after raising her daughter, who is also now an RN. Mim holds certifications in EMT Critical Care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Wilderness First Responder, and Infection Prevention. She also spent fifteen years as a Water Safety Instructor. Mim and her black lab Tekoda have found that being at Whippoorwill is now their happiest time of the year and they cannot wait for next summer!
