Carina McCauley
Health Director
Carina first came to NCC in 2000 as a cabin counselor and Health Center intern. After graduating from the University of Vermont Nursing program in 2001 she worked in a variety of year-round nursing positions. She returned to camp in 2019 as a nurse, working at both Whippoorwill and Lincoln, and then becoming NCC Health Director in 2021. In the off-season Carina splits her time between an outpatient pediatric practice and on inpatient units at the University of Vermont Medical Center, caring for a wide variety of patients.
Carina has always had a strong connection to camp - her husband, Ed McCauley, was a camper and counselor for many years, and her two sons attend Lincoln each summer. On her days off during the summer she can be found hiking, swinging in a hammock at Chapel Pond, or running the backcountry roads of the Adirondacks.
