Tess Rawson

Tess Rawson is the Summer Director at Whippoorwill 

Tess has been deeply involved with all parts of life at camp for the past four years, most recently as the Whip program coordinator. Since she first met her husband Alex nearly 20 years ago, she heard tales of NCC.  Little did she know she'd end up working at, and falling in love with, camp herself.  Tess's favorite thing about camp is the friendships it inspires and the love of adventure it fosters in campers and counselors alike.  Tess's happy place is in the mountains and she has gotten so much joy from achieving her 46er with campers over the past few summers.   She is incredibly excited for this new role and to bring the love of camp and the wilderness to a new generation of campers. 

Originally from Scotland, Tess has lived all over the world, from Brazil to Turkey to Switzerland. She and Alex now live a life of adventure on the high seas - on a sailboat in the Caribbean with their 3 kids, all NCC campers.  When not at camp Tess is a public speaking coach and speech writer, and loves all outdoor adventure, whether in the mountains or on the ocean.
