Kate Green
Executive Director
Kate Green returned to NCC in 2024 as the Executive Director. She’s responsible for overseeing all operations of the North Country Camps – Lincoln and Whippoorwill.
Kate has a rich history with NCC, beginning her journey as a riding and cabin counselor in 1998. After 8 years serving in various roles, she became Whippoorwill’s Director in 2006, a position she held until 2020. During that time, Kate managed all aspects of Whip’s operations, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences for countless campers. She guided staff teams to mentor children, teach them valuable skills and lead them in building a warm, inclusive community each summer.
After leaving NCC in 2020, Kate pursued several opportunities, all centered around her passion for horses. She started her own business, “The Content Equestrian,” where she specialized in training horses and riders, managing horse farms, and offering show coaching. She also worked with Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, Inc. where she helped plan and execute fundraisers, developed grant proposals, worked on community engagement and developed a corporate team building program.
Kate lives near Saratoga Springs, NY with her husband, Doug Livingston, an NCC alum. Their two children are both NCC campers. In her free time she can be found exploring the woods and rivers of upstate NY with her family and riding her two horses.
