Andrew Senyszyn

Summer Director - Camp Lincoln

Andrew is returning to NCC 15 years after his first summer on staff in 2010 to serve as the Camp Lincoln Summer Director for the 2025 season. He is a high school teacher in New York City at Avenues: The World School, where he teaches Wellness & Movement (Health & P.E.).

Andrew began his career in Outdoor Education in 2008 after graduating from the University of South Australia, where he majored in Outdoor Education and Physical Education. He worked as a trip leader, camp activity coordinator, and staff manager year-round for several years, working with students ranging from 3rd grade to university level, before venturing to the USA in 2010. After three summers at Lincoln and time spent traveling the globe, Andrew returned to university to earn his Master's of Teaching in Physical Education, Health, and Science. He has been teaching full-time since 2014, both in Australia and NYC.

Andrew once held instructor certifications in sailing, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, and hiking. He also has experience in leading mountain biking, canoeing, windsurfing, rock climbing, and high ropes activities. As a Health and Physical Educator, he is skilled in coaching and teaching a wide range of sports and games, as well as promoting positive physical and mental well-being in teenagers.

Andrew lives in Westchester, NY (as of this year) with his wife, Emma (a fellow NCC alum), and their two young children. They try to travel, hike, and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. In his spare time, Andrew has managed to get his golf handicap down to 14, and his marathon time to 2:43.
